About Us

Three generations of knowing asphalt like it's part of the family.

Where This Started

I grew up in the bed of my grandfather's truck. While other kids were at baseball camp, I was watching him lay asphalt around our hometown. He was the guy people called when they wanted it done right. For 45 years, he showed up before dawn and didn't leave until the work matched what he saw in his head. That wasn't just a job to him—it was his reputation.

After high school, I knew I wasn't going to do anything else. I started my own company because I wanted to carry on what he built, but also prove I could do it my own way. The early jobs were small—a driveway here, a parking lot there. But I made the same choice he did: do less work, do it better, and let the results speak.

Over time, people started calling with bigger projects. The kind of work that takes real skill and focus. That's when I realized I'd found the right path. We could take on larger jobs precisely because we kept our crew small and I stayed on every single one, leading and watching every detail the way my grandfather taught me.

'Small crew, big jobs, my name on everything. That's how you keep a reputation intact.'

— Owner, Third Generation

What We've Learned

Small is stronger than big. We could hire more crews and chase more jobs. Instead, we stay lean because it means I know every team member, every project, and every client. One careless poured section could cost someone thousands and damage a reputation we've spent decades building. We've seen contractors cut corners to fit more jobs in. We don't.

Detail work isn't slow work—it's the only work. My grandfather never rushed. He'd spend an extra hour getting the compaction right, the grade perfect, the edges clean. That extra hour prevented problems five years later. Clients notice. When someone drives past their driveway ten years after we finished it and it still looks solid, that's not luck. That's attention.

The owner on site changes everything. When the team knows I'm there watching the work the same way they are, standards don't slip. It's not about micromanaging—it's about shared pride. Everyone on the crew takes ownership because I do, and they know I'll catch it before it leaves the job. That's how reputation stays excellent.

Being your go-to means showing up that way every time. Not when it's convenient, but when you need it. We're still serving the same community my grandfather started in. People remember who was there when the work mattered, and they tell their neighbors. That word-of-mouth network isn't something you build once—you earn it every day on every job.

How We Work

When you hire us, you get a crew that's focused entirely on your project. I'm there from start to finish, leading the work and making the calls. You'll see me checking grades, inspecting compaction, watching edges—the kind of details that matter ten years from now. We show up when we say we will, we explain what we're doing, and we answer questions without treating you like you're slowing us down.

We're not the biggest company around, and we won't be. We're the one that takes pride in every square foot and delivers results that hold up. If you want to work with someone who treats your asphalt like their family's asphalt, let's talk about what you need.
